Quick Chili

My go to fast chili recipe and tastes like it has been cooking for hours! Top with condiments and I usually serve with chopped red onions, avocado and shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese.

Servings 4 (1 cup) servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 1 onion chopped
  • Dash ground cinnamon
  • 1 (15-ounce) can fat-free chicken broth
  • 1 (10 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans drained and rinsed

Servings 4 (1 cup) servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • 1 onion chopped
  • Dash ground cinnamon
  • 1 (15-ounce) can fat-free chicken broth
  • 1 (10 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans drained and rinsed

Instructions

  1. In large nonstick pot, cook meat and onion until done and drain any excess fat.


  2. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and cook over low heat about 10 minutes.
